Freeze Tag

Tag where the tagged stay frozen until a teammate thaws them.

How to play

• One or more players are It (taggers).
• When It tags a runner, that runner freezes in place.
• A frozen player can be unfrozen when another runner touches them.
• The taggers’ goal is to freeze everyone at once.

Setup

• 4+ players (otherwise the freezing math is uninteresting).
• Place the Play area rectangle.

Winning

• Taggers win if every runner is frozen at the same moment.
• Runners win by surviving — there’s no formal end, so call it when you’ve had enough.

For builders

• Demonstrates: the freeze & thaw pattern — a tag that disables plus a second interaction that revives, and a “nobody left unfrozen” win check.
